Signum University was founded in 2011 as a graduate school for language and literature. As a digitally native institution, Signum has developed an instructional model that caters to students around the world through an accessible digital campus that facilitates both synchronous and asynchronous instruction. Over nearly a decade, Signum has refined and adapted its model to meet a variety of needs, including interactive instruction, small-group discussions, and workshop-style seminars. In addition to its core curriculum, Signum offers free educational programs for everyone from middle-school-aged children to adults through Mythgard Academy, Signum Academy and Signum Symposia.

Signum Path adapts Signum University’s proven instructional model to teach skills that are critical in the workplace but which are often ignored or deprioritized by business training organizations. Our scalable online interface enables real-time interaction with instructors, allowing companies to provide rigorous, essential training to employees wherever they are without needing to spend time and money on travel or special equipment.

Below is a preview from one of our instructors, Sparrow Alden, discussing the format of Signum Path:

Our Model

We currently offer four badges, consisting of three courses each. These courses cover a broad range of essential skills, often known as foundational skills or “soft” skills, which are in high demand by employers but taught less and less in schools and universities.

Signum Path is an innovative training program both for individual job-seekers as well as companies. Students aren’t asked to watch pre-recorded lectures in our courses and then left to their own devices to learn on their own. With our interactive online interface, our teachers provide real-time instruction to students. We serve students nationwide and throughout the world by having a flexible scheduling model and smaller class sizes intended to better serve a student’s needs.

Stemming from the foundational principles of Signum University, our courses are affordable to both individuals and corporate customers. Signum believes education should be accessible, dynamic, and affordable, and that includes training in foundational skills that can be carried into any job or career.

Our Instructors

Signum Path instructors are Signum University faculty members who are experienced in remote instruction and who have mastered the digital classroom interface to facilitate effective distance learning. Rather than using outdated lecture methods, our instructors engage participants in discussion and guide them through a collaborative learning experience to attain proficiency in the focus skills for the class. Outside of the instructional sessions, instructors will also be available for help via email and a dedicated course discussion board.
